Born and raised in church, Dayvito was brought up in the gospel and knew about Jesus from an early age. He fell in love with Hip-Hop and began to embrace the culture, the lifestyle, and the ways of the world. His music career began in 2000, writing rhymes with friends as jokes. His love for music and passion for the industry began to take center stage in his life and Dayvito began his music career as a secular artist.
Dayvito had to overcome many obstacles. His father physically abused him. He searched for refuge in the church but didn't find it so he decided to leave the church for good. Feeling frustrated, betrayed, and angry, Dayvito began to fill the void in his life with drugs, alcohol, and the streets life. Dayvito began doing cocaine, meth, and drinking heavily. This led to a drug overdose that nearly killed him. Dayvito went to rehab and was able to turn his life around. Dayvito had a great relationship with his uncle who introduced him to Kre8tor. Kre8tor gave him his first taste of Christian Hip-Hop and released his first studio album "The Road Called Life" in 2013. He was signed to Double Edge Ministries in 2016 and has released multiple singles including “Jesus Freak” and “24/7” and is currently working on his sophomore album releasing later this year. .
"To the ends of the Earth I will go, til they know what his name is. Despite what I'm faced with, I know I'm destined for greatness." -Dayvito "Jesus Freak"
